How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?
Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the '5 CENTS' tag and 'TRADE MARK' text part of the print?
Yes. The print is a faithful reproduction of the original December 1890 cover, so the five-cent price tag around the cat's neck and the small 'TRADE MARK' line under the title are both included. They're part of what makes it look properly vintage rather than a modern redraw.
Will the deep red banners clash with a colourful room?
The red is warm and slightly muted rather than fire-engine bright, so it sits more comfortably than you'd expect. It works best against cream, off-white, deep green or inky blue walls. If your room already has competing reds or hot pinks, it can fight — pick a calmer wall colour behind it.
Does the cat read as spooky or just graphic?
More graphic than spooky. The cat is watchful and a little dignified rather than menacing — it's a magazine mascot, not a Halloween motif. People tend to read it as bookish and characterful, which is why it lands well in studies, hallways and kitchens year-round.
