How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the dog identifiable as a specific cocker spaniel, or more of a general portrait?
It's painted loosely from behind, so the markings and proportions read as a typical golden or working cocker spaniel rather than one particular dog. Buyers looking for an exact likeness of their own dog should commission a custom portrait — this is a quiet, generalised study rather than a personalised piece.
Will the sage-green background clash with green walls?
It can. The backdrop is a soft, slightly grey sage, so it sits comfortably against off-white, cream, warm beige or pale plaster walls. On a deep forest, olive or strong sage wall, the background will get muddy and the portrait will lose its calm — better on a neutral wall in that case.
Does it work in a nursery or only an adult bedroom?
Both. The palette is gentle enough for a nursery, and the back-view portrait avoids the cartoonish energy a lot of nursery animal art has. In an adult bedroom it reads as quiet and considered rather than childish, so it can stay on the wall long past the nursery years.
