How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
How big should I go with this one?
Lean larger if you can. The bird's diving arc fills the page from corner to corner, and at small sizes the sweep of the wings and tail loses its punch. A large size above a desk, console or bed gives it the breathing room it needs, especially on a pale or deep-toned wall.
Will it feel too dark for my room?
The bird itself is deep inky black, but most of the page is a soft cream ground, so the overall feel is graphic rather than gloomy. It reads well on pale walls as a bold silhouette, and on deep green or panelled walls as a grounded, study-like piece. Avoid pastel-led rooms where it can feel out of step.
Does it work alongside other bird or botanical prints?
Yes, but treat it as the lead. Pair it with smaller, quieter studies — a single feather plate, a botanical sketch, a small anatomical drawing — rather than other equally dramatic pieces. Keep companion frames similar in tone so the eye stays on the frigatebird.
