How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the 'True and False Mushrooms' caption and 1877 date kept in the print?
Yes. The print is a faithful reproduction of the full plate, so the oval border, the small 'October 27th, 1877' header, the W. G. Smith credit and the 'True and False Mushrooms' caption at the bottom are all preserved. That lettering is part of the charm and reads clearly at medium size.
Will the warm browns clash with a green kitchen?
Not at all — the plate already has deep olive green woven through the foliage, so it sits naturally against sage, fern or forest-green cabinetry. It actually struggles more against cool greys and chrome than against any green you're likely to paint a kitchen.
Is this strong enough to hang on its own, or does it need companions?
It holds a wall on its own at medium size, especially over a sideboard, console or pantry shelf. If you'd rather build a small group, add two or three quieter botanical plates in the same warm brown and green family — keep the mushroom plate as the largest.
