How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the deep red and dark green clash with a busy tiled splashback?
It can. The poster already carries a lot of colour and shape, so a plain or lightly textured wall works best. If your splashback is patterned, hang the print on a different wall — above a sideboard, in a dining nook, or on a quieter stretch between cupboards — and let it breathe.
Does the print include readable text I should know about?
Yes. 'SUSHI' and 'TRADITIONAL JAPANESE DISH' run across the top, 'MADE IN JAPAN' across the bottom, with a short descriptive caption underneath about vinegared rice, nigiri, rolls, sashimi, soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger. All in plain black lettering.
Is this better in the kitchen or the dining room?
Both work. In a kitchen, hang it on a clear wall above a sideboard or between cupboards. In a dining room or nook, centre it above a small table where people sit down to eat. Avoid hanging it directly over a hob or behind open shelving.
