How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the lilac background read as purple or as grey on the wall?
It sits between the two — a soft, slightly cool lilac with a grey undertone. Under warm lamp light it leans a touch warmer; under daylight it reads cooler and quieter. It's a confident colour, but not a saturated purple, so it tends to work with both cool greys and warm timbers rather than fighting them.
Is the composition balanced or does the eye get pulled to one side?
The dark disc sits top-left and the tower of small shapes sits lower-right, so the eye crosses the print on a diagonal. It's deliberately asymmetric but feels weighted, not lopsided. Centre it on the wall and it reads as one steady composition rather than tipping in either direction.
Does it work in a small room or only on a big feature wall?
It works in small rooms because the lilac ground is calm and the shapes are scattered with plenty of breathing space. In a study, hallway or compact living room a medium size above a desk or console is the sweet spot. Go larger only if the wall is genuinely tall and uncluttered.
