    Acerca de esta obra

In the 1600s, this would have felt radical. It still does. One piece of fruit, painted with real attention, and nothing else asking for space. Hang it and a busy kitchen suddenly has a still point — the deep red pulls warmth into cream walls and softens hard cupboard lines. It works above a worktop, on a narrow stretch of dining wall, or at the turn of a hallway where you pass it every day. Pair it with painted cupboards, stoneware, warm timber and linen. Keep the wall around it clear; this piece wants breathing room, not a shelf of jars and cookbooks crowding the edges. On premium fine-art paper the loose brushwork stays crisp and the cream background reads soft rather than flat.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the red be too strong for a pale kitchen?

It reads as one warm accent rather than a block of colour. Most of the picture is soft cream, so the red only registers as a focal point. If your walls are off-white or warm beige it will look intentional. If your kitchen already has red or terracotta on show, hang it where the two are not seen together.

Does it work on its own or does it need other pictures?

It works well on its own, and that is how it looks best — one small picture with clear wall around it. If you want a group, keep the companions equally simple: another fruit study, a jug, or a plain botanical. Avoid busy or brightly graphic neighbours, which will make the apple look like an afterthought.

What size suits a kitchen wall between cupboards?

A medium portrait size is the sweet spot. Aim for a picture that sits comfortably within a clear run of at least 50cm of wall, hung at eye level so the brushwork is visible up close. Going very large stretches the plain cream background and loses the intimate, close-up feel of the painting.
