How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

L’affiche ne sera-t-elle pas trop pâle sur un mur blanc cassé ?
Elle tient bien sa place. Le corps bleu-gris du héron et le bec ainsi que les pattes plus foncés apportent assez de définition pour se détacher d’un mur crème ou blanc cassé. Si votre mur est blanc très vif, un cadre blanc avec un peu d’espace autour de l’image aide les contours à rester nets de l’autre côté de la pièce.

Une forme carrée fonctionne-t-elle au-dessus d’un lit double standard ?
Oui, à condition de choisir un format moyen ou grand. Un carré centré au-dessus d’une tête de lit double paraît intentionnel plutôt que trop petit, et les lavis pâles évitent un effet trop lourd en hauteur. Si votre tête de lit est très large, mieux vaut envisager un deuxième carré discret plutôt que de trop agrandir.

Puis-je l’accrocher dans une salle de bain ?
Oui, visuellement elle convient très bien à une salle de bain — les bleus et gris lavés s’accordent avec le carrelage et la céramique blanche. Choisissez un mur à l’abri des projections directes de la douche et de la vapeur, avec une bonne ventilation, et cela ira très bien. Une version encadrée offrira une meilleure protection dans une pièce humide.
