Over dit kunstwerk
In februari heeft je hal dit het hardst nodig. Buiten biedt de tuin weinig, maar deze hoge baan met diepe roze en donkerrode bloemen op inktblauw brengt direct sfeer binnen. Geef het een smalle muur bij de voordeur: prachtig tegen warm offwhite, of stoer donkergroen als je durft. Het blauw in het patroon komt nog rijker uit naast oud eiken vloerplanken en een wollen loper. Hang de canvas iets lager dan je gevoel zegt, zodat de laagste bloemen ongeveer op jashaakhoogte komen. Laat het werk alleen hangen, zonder andere decoratie ernaast. In mei haalt de tuin het weer in, en toch wil je de hal zo vol blijven zien. De canvas is opgespannen op een houten frame en wordt kant-en-klaar geleverd om op te hangen.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Worden het roze en rood niet te fel in een kleine hal?
Minder dan je zou denken. De inktblauwe ondergrond neemt het grootste deel van het oppervlak in en houdt het roze en rood in toom, waardoor het geheel vanaf de deuropening leest als een diep, donker vlak met kleur erin. Houd de muurverf rustig, gebroken wit of donkergroen, en vermijd een geruite loper direct eronder. De hal voelt dan aangekleed in plaats van vol.
Hoe hoog moet ik gaan voor een trapwand?
Groter dan je natuurlijk zou kiezen. De bloemen in Cray zijn klein binnen het patroon en op een bescheiden hoogte vallen ze samen tot textuur. Vanaf ongeveer een meter hoog of meer wordt elke bloei zichtbaar vanaf de onderste trede en leest het werk als een tuin in plaats van een stofstaal. Laat op een bordes een handbreedte vrije muur boven de lijn van de leuning.
Leest het patroon van ver of alleen van dichtbij?
Beide, en dat is precies de kracht ervan. Op drie meter zie je de zwier van de bleke stelen die omhoog klimmen en het ritme van roze en rode bloemkoppen. Van dichtbij ontdek je de kleine witte sprietjes, de gestippelde bladeren en de kleine crèmekleurige knopjes ertussen. Die dubbele werking maakt het zo geschikt voor een hal, waar je er elke dag van beide afstanden langsloopt.
