How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Is de gele achtergrond te sterk voor een gebroken-witte woonkamer?

Het komt over als warm in plaats van fel. Het mosterd is gedempt en iets getextureerd, dus op een gebroken-witte muur werkt het als een stukje namiddaglicht in plaats van een fel vlak. Geef het vrije muur aan beide zijden en houd nabije accessoires in hout, groen of crème zodat het geel de enige harde noot blijft.

Verdwijnt de staartdetail bij kleinere formaten?

De oogveren zijn het fijnste deel van het beeld, dus we zouden medium verkiezen boven small als je die goed wilt kunnen zien. Op medium en groter kun je de individuele ogen en het gebande vleugelpatroon van een paar meter afstand onderscheiden. Small werkt als het ergens hangt waar je dicht langs loopt, zoals een gang.

Werkt het in een eetkamer met een donkergeverfde muur?

Ja, en het is een van de betere plekken voor dit werk. Het mosterdvlak laat zich direct afzetten tegen diepgroen, navy of antraciet, en de teal hals pikt elke groentint in de kamer op. Hang het iets boven ooghoogte boven een dressoir of bankje zodat de staart in je zichtlijn valt als je zit.
