Over dit kunstwerk
Deze canvas komt in oktober helemaal tot zijn recht. Zodra de klok teruggaat en de hal al om vijf uur donker is, geeft het warme oranje precies het licht dat de plafonnière mist. Hang hem in de entree, op de muur die je vanaf de voordeur ziet, zodat je thuiskomt in warmte in plaats van grijs. Crème- of offwhite muren passen er perfect bij. Een leisteenvloer sluit mooi aan op het natte grijs van de straat, waardoor de bladeren nog feller oplichten. Houd kapstok en console rustig, en kies voor een effen loper zonder patroon. In december voelt hij als onderdeel van het huis; in april voelt het nog steeds als een prettige, regenachtige middag. Kies minimaal 60 cm vierkant: kleiner en de straat wordt een ansichtkaart. Op canvas komt het natte wegdek echt als verf tot leven – zonder glas ertussen.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Wordt het oranje te sterk in een kleine woonkamer?

Niet als de rest van de kamer rustig blijft. Het oranje zit in veel grijs en zacht bruin, dus aan de muur leest het als warmte en niet als een blok kleur. Houd kussens en gordijnen in grijs, crème of roest en het past goed. Voeg een tweede felle kleur toe en die twee gaan met elkaar strijden om aandacht.

Welk formaat kies ik boven een bank?

Richt je op ongeveer twee derde van de breedte van de bank; voor de meeste driezitsbanken betekent dat 70 tot 90 cm vierkant. De figuren op de weg en de reflecties zijn klein, dus op 40 of 50 cm vervagen ze aan de andere kant van de kamer tot textuur. Boven een console of in een hal is 60 cm genoeg omdat je dichterbij staat.

Past dit alleen in de herfstmaanden?

Het verdient zijn plek van oktober tot maart, wanneer de hal al vroeg donker is en het oranje echt werkt. In lente en zomer leest het meer als een regenachtige middag in een leuke stad, en daar leef je prima mee. Wil je kunst die met de seizoenen mee verandert, dan is dit er een om te laten hangen en de rest eromheen te wisselen.
