Dit is het canvas voor die smalle wand bij de trap. Hoog en slank, zodat het de hoogte mooi vult zonder de leuning te benauwen. De oranje zonneschermen zorgen voor warmte; tegen wit geschilderd lambrisering lichten ze op als een raam in de schemer. Onderin houdt de grijze straat het beeld rustig en voorkomt dat het te zoet wordt. Hang het zo dat de boom op ooghoogte is vanaf de overloop, niet vanaf de halvloer. Laat de leuning vrij. Eén warme lamp erboven is genoeg; de kleur komt ook in een trappenhuis zonder raam goed tot zijn recht. Op canvas oogt de kleur vlak en mat, en je hangt het direct op – zonder glas dat het traplicht vangt.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Overheerst het oranje een kleine gang?
Niet als de muur eromheen rustig blijft. Het oranje zit in de bovenste helft van het werk, met de grijze weg en donkere stammen eronder, dus de kleur leest als een gloed in plaats van een blok. Houd in een smalle gang de muren wit of lichtgrijs en zet er niets anders oranjes dichtbij. Eén warme lamp boven je is genoeg om de luifels tot leven te brengen zonder daglicht.
Werkt het als mijn kamer al grijs en roze heeft?
Ja, en beter dan de meeste. De weg en lucht in het werk zijn leigrijs en pleisterroze, dus een grijze loper of een oudroze kussen pikt die tinten op zonder bedacht te ogen. Het oranje wordt dan het enige felle accent in de ruimte. Vermijd een tweede sterke warme kleur, zoals een rood kleed, anders gaat het geheel botsen.
Hoe groot moet het zijn voor een trapoverloop?
Ga voor hoog. Op een overloop zie je het werk van onderaf en vanaf een paar stappen afstand, dus alles onder de 80 cm hoog verliest de boom en wordt de straat een ansichtkaart. Ongeveer 50 bij 100 cm past bij de meeste smalle trappenhuizen, met het midden op ooghoogte vanaf de overloop in plaats van vanaf de gangvloer. Houd aan beide kanten minstens een handbreedte vrij.
