How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Botst het koraalrood met een roze of perzikkleurige badkamer?

Het vervaagt eerder dan dat het botst. De rode banden zitten qua kleur dicht bij perzik, dus tegen perzik- of terracottategels verliest de schelp zijn scherpte en leest de muur als één warme waas. Het wil juist een koele of neutrale achtergrond: witte tegels, lichtgrijze verf of gebroken witte lambrisering, waar het rood de enige warme noot is en al het werk doet.

Welk formaat werkt boven een wastafel?

Rond 40 cm vierkant is de ideale maat voor een standaard wastafel- of toiletruimtemuur. Op dat formaat is het ribdetail duidelijk vanaf de deuropening en blijft er aan beide kanten genoeg lucht over. Kies 50 of 60 cm boven een dubbele wastafel of consoletafel. Onder de 30 cm wordt de schelp een klein vlekje op de muur en valt hij minder op.

Ziet het er niet te veel aan zee uit voor een keuken?

Niet als je hem alleen ophangt. De oude plaatstijl leest eerst als een natural history-studie en pas daarna als strandmotief, dus in een lichtgrijze of witte keuken oogt hij verzameld in plaats van thematisch. Houd rode keukenspullen en oranje accenten van het aanrecht eronder weg en laat witte serviesstukken en eiken snijplanken in de buurt. Eén schelp, geen andere verwijzingen naar zee, en de keuken blijft volwassen.
