Een zeilboot onder een rode zon en wolk, gedragen door koelblauw water. De warme roodtinten geven meteen focus aan een rustige, neutrale kamer, terwijl de losse toets het gevoel van ‘echte’ schilderkunst behoudt. Hang hem boven de bank, op een console in de hal of op een vierkante muurplek tussen ramen. Combineert mooi met licht linnen, geschilderd hout, rotan en witte keramiek. Laat de kleuren verder rustig: plaats geen druk behang of tweede uitgesproken zeestuk ernaast, anders verliest het werk zijn kracht. How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Zal het rood te fel lijken in een kleine kamer?

Het leest als één duidelijke vorm in plaats van rood overal, dus het houdt zich goed in kleine kamers. Houd de omliggende muur effen en laat het de enige sterke kleur in die zichtlijn zijn. In een smalle gang, hang het daar waar je erlangs loopt in plaats van recht tegenover een zitplek, dan voelt het rood als een oppepper in plaats van een schreeuw.

Werkt het in een kamer met blauwe muren?

Ja, zolang het blauw zacht of krijtachtig is en geen diep verzadigd marineblauw. Het water in het schilderij is een helder, krachtig blauw, dus een rustiger muurkleur geeft het ruimte om naar voren te komen. Tegen een heel sterke blauwe muur concurreren zee en muur en verliest de rode zon wat van zijn scherpte.

Welke maat past boven een bank?

Ga groot. Vierkante werken hebben echte breedte nodig om een bank te verankeren, en op groter formaat blijven de zon, de zeilen en het ruige water leesbaar van de overkant van de kamer. Als vuistregel: laat het werk zo'n twee derde van de bankbreedte beslaan, opgehangen ongeveer 25 cm boven de rugkussens.
