Maak een donkere hal direct warmer met deze roestrode stier op canvas. Het diepe roestrood houdt zijn warmte, ook als het in oktober al om vijf uur schemerig wordt. Het canvas komt het best tot zijn recht tegen krijtwitte, licht getextureerde muren. Combineer met een eerlijke vloer: terracottategels of blanke houten planken, en houd de inrichting minimaal met alleen een schoenenrek. Jassen aan de kapstok pakken vanzelf dezelfde baksteentinten op.
Kies in een smalle gang voor hoogte boven breedte. Hang de bovenrand net boven ooghoogte zodat de wand hoger lijkt. Laat deze muur verder leeg; zo krijgt het werk alle aandacht. Het canvas hangt strak tegen de muur zonder glas — ideaal in een krappe hal waar elke centimeter telt. Tegen de lente wil je het niet meer verplaatsen.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Botst het roestrood met een hal in warme tinten?
Dat hangt af van hoe warm de muur is. Tegen crème, gebroken wit, steen of lichtgrijs steekt het rood mooi af en doet de zwarte lijn de rest. Op een muur die al terracotta, baksteen of pleisterroze is geverfd, begint het lichaam van de stier in de verf op te gaan en verlies je de vorm. Is je hal warm, hang hem dan op de lichtste muur die je hebt, of op de muur die het minste direct zonlicht krijgt.
Hoe hoog moet ik hem hangen in een trappenhuis?
Hoger dan je denkt, en dan nog iets lager. Op een bordes zet je het midden op ooghoogte voor iemand die op het bordes zelf staat, niet voor iemand die onderaan de trap staat. Zo leest de hoge vorm helemaal door terwijl je ernaartoe klimt. Laat minstens een meter vrije muur aan beide kanten, zodat de horens ruimte hebben. Eén werk op die muur, verder niets.
Werkt dit in een keuken met houten kasten?
Ja, zolang het hout licht of middentint is. Kastjes van eiken, essenhout en berk laten het roestrood mooi naar voren komen en de zwarte lijn blijft scherp. Donker walnoot of gebeitste kasten maken het contrast vlakker en dan wordt het geheel wat modderig. Hang het op de smalle muur aan het einde van een rij kasten, uit de buurt van de kookplaat, waar stoom en spatten er niet bij kunnen.
