Elke woning heeft die ene lege muur. Het korte stukje aan het einde van de overloop, strook naast de kapstok, halve wand boven het schoenbankje. Daar volstaat één vierkant stuk zonder poespas. Hang deze canvas op ooghoogte tegen kalkachtig off‑white stucwerk: het oranje doet het werk en geeft een warme toets aan een plek die anders alleen een lichtschakelaar heeft. Het zwart van de kat pakt moeiteloos een donker deurklinkje of ijzeren haak op. Het hele jaar door mooi: oktober is het excuus, de crème achtergrond is de reden dat hij blijft. Onder 40 cm oogt de geest als een sticker, dus kies medium en laat hem solo spreken. Een licht geschilderd plankje eronder, één kaars — klaar. De canvas wordt gespannen op een houten frame en wordt gebruiksklaar geleverd, zodat je hem direct kunt ophangen.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Gaat oranje botsen met een terracotta- of roestkleurig interieur?

Dat kan. De pompoen is een duidelijke, heldere oranje tint in plaats van een gedempte kleitint, dus naast een roestbank of terracottatapijt leest hij als een iets andere oranje en concurreren de twee. Hij voelt veel prettiger op off-white, havermoutkleurige of lichtgrijze muren, waar hij de enige warme kleur in beeld is, met zwart of donker hout in de buurt om de kat terug te laten komen.

Werkt dit alleen in oktober?

Meestal niet. Het grootste deel van het beeld bestaat uit een crème ondergrond en een geschilderde plank, en het spook is zacht en vriendelijk van vorm in plaats van eng. In een hal of keuken leest het als een herfststilleven met een grap erin, en veel mensen laten het hangen van september tot aan kerst of het hele jaar. Vervang de pompoen eronder door een kaars en het voelt niet meer als Halloweenwanddecoratie.

Welke maat moet ik kiezen voor een smalle halmuur?

Kies medium als de muur het toelaat. De figuren zitten laag in het vierkant met veel lege ruimte erboven, dus een kleine print maakt het spook en de kat te klein om vanaf de voordeur goed te lezen. Op een muur van ongeveer 60 tot 80 cm breed vult een medium vierkant op ooghoogte de ruimte zonder de randen te raken, en één stuk is genoeg.
