How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Zal dit er als een leeg vel papier aan de muur uitzien?

Nee — de versleten lijntjes vormen een zachte kruisvorm die duidelijker wordt zodra de print hangt en het daglicht het raakt. Het contrast is bewust laag, dus het gedraagt zich meer als textuur dan als afbeelding. Als je iets grafisch of hoogcontrasterend wilt, is dit niet het juiste werk — maar op een matte muur staat het rustig zijn mannetje.

Werkt dit tegen een helder witte muur?

Het komt het beste tot z’n recht tegen een warm off‑white, crème of zachte pleistermuur. Tegen een koel helder wit kan het crème net vuilig overkomen in plaats van zacht. Als je muren strak wit en hoogglans zijn, kies dan iets met meer contrast — of schilder eerst naar een warmere neutrale tint.

Welke maat is het beste boven een bed of console?

Een middelgroot vierkant is de sweetspot. Het vult de muur boven een lage hoofdbord of console zonder te verdringen en houdt de lijntjes leesbaar vanaf de andere kant van de kamer. Wordt het te klein, dan verdwijnen de vage lijnen; wordt het statement‑groot, dan voelt de stilte eerder leeg dan kalm.
