Deze canvas in 2:1-formaat vult de ruimte van rand tot rand wanneer je hem op zo’n 100 cm breed hangt, precies tot waar het plafond begint. Het turquoise water frist de kamer op, zelfs als er alleen ochtendlicht is. De zachte roze zandtint langs de onderrand sluit rustig aan bij wit katoen beddengoed. Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Wordt het turquoise niet te fel voor een slaapkamer?

In een slaapkamer nemen het bleke zand en het witte schuim samen bijna de helft van het beeld in, waardoor het turquoise als kleur leest en niet als schittering. Het werkt met witte of warmwitte muren en simpel beddengoed. De enige combinatie die je beter vermijdt is een donkere of navy muur, waar de zee te luid wordt en het zand grauw lijkt. Zacht licht van een zijraam past er het best bij.

Hoe breed moet ik gaan boven een tweepersoonsbed?

Een kingsize bed is ongeveer 150 cm breed, dus mik op een beeld tussen 100 cm en 120 cm breed. Dat laat aan beide kanten een handbreedte muur over en zorgt dat het stuk bewust hangt in plaats van gepropt. Hang het zo op dat de onderrand ongeveer 20 cm boven het hoofdbord zit. Kleiner dan 100 cm en de surfers worden stipjes waar je naartoe moet lopen.

Werkt het in een kamer zonder andere kustdecoratie?

Ja, en vaak ziet het er zo juist beter uit. Zonder schelpen, touw of drijfhout in de kamer oogt het als een schildering van kleur en textuur in plaats van een thema. Houd het meubilair rustig, wit of licht linnen, gebleekt hout, een rieten lamp als je die hebt, en laat turquoise de enige sterke kleur in de ruimte zijn.
