How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Ziet het zwarte middenpaneel er zwaar uit in een lichte slaapkamer?
Minder dan je verwacht. Het donkere vlak zit tussen twee lichtere en de crèmekleurige ondergrond neemt het grootste deel van het oppervlak in, dus van een afstand oogt het als één ankerpunt in plaats van een donkere massa. In een spierwitte kamer wordt het wel het enige donkere element, en dat is prima als je het nog één keer terug laat komen in een lampvoet of een schilderijlijst. Twee donkere objecten voelen bewust. Eén voelt eenzaam.

Hoe breed moet het zijn boven een tweepersoonsbed?
Kies voor een werk van ongeveer twee derde tot drie kwart van de breedte van het matras, dus ongeveer 120 tot 140 cm voor een standaard UK king. De horizontale vorm doet de rest. Hang de onderrand ongeveer 20 cm boven het hoofdbord, zodat de paarden vrij van de kussens blijven als het bed is opgemaakt. Smaller dan 90 cm en de drie panelen gaan eruitzien als een kleine poster.

Past het in een kinderkamer of is het te volwassen?
Het werkt in allebei, en dat is precies de bedoeling. Kinderen zien drie rennende paarden en sterren. Volwassenen zien een handgetekende lijn en een ingetogen palet van crème, salie en stoffig lila dat mooi staat bij linnen en licht hout. Hang het lager in een kinderkamer, dichter bij ooghoogte vanaf het bed, en het blijft nog steeds goed als datzelfde kind vijftien is en de rest van de kamer veranderd is.
