Veel woonkamers met een grijze bank missen warmte. Alles is keurig, maar tegen december voelt de ruimte als een wachtruimte. Oranje lost dat op. Hang deze poster boven de bank, circa 100 cm vierkant, en de warme baan trekt de blik omhoog en geeft de wand een duidelijke focus. De diep petrolgroene tint eromheen doet ook iets belangrijks: hij ligt dicht bij houtskool en marineblauw en sluit daardoor naadloos aan op donker geschilderde muren of leren meubels die je al hebt. Je hoeft verder niets te veranderen. Houd het oppervlak eronder rustig. Een notenhouten dressoir of een zwartstalen console eronder werkt uitstekend, met één lamp aan één zijde. Vermijd patronen in de buurt; het oranje heeft rust om zich heen nodig om echt te spreken. Op fineart-papier achter acrylaat blijft het oranje haarscherp.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Is het oranje niet te fel in een kleine woonkamer?

Minder dan je zou verwachten. Het grootste deel van het oppervlak is diep teal, en dat leest op de muur bijna als een donkere neutrale tint. Het oranje vormt maar een smalle band door het midden. In een kleine ruimte is de truc om hem los op te hangen, rond 60 tot 70 cm vierkant, en kussens en plaids in grijs of navy te houden. Eén warme lijn in een koele kamer oogt bewust in plaats van luid.

Welke muurverf past erachter?

Donkere muren passen het best. Deep teal, navy of antraciet laat de achtergrond samenvloeien met de muur en laat het oranje het werk doen. Gebroken wit kan ook, al leest het geheel dan als een donker blok, dus geef het een grotere muur en voldoende ruimte aan beide kanten. Vermijd warm beige of terracotta, omdat het oranje daartegen zijn scherpte verliest.

Werkt dit ook in een slaapkamer?

Ja, met zorg. Het diepe blauw is rustgevend en het oranje geeft een eenvoudige slaapkamer één warm punt, maar het is geen stil beeld. Hang het aan de muur tegenover het bed in plaats van boven het hoofdeinde, zodat je het overdag ziet in plaats van vlak voor het slapen. Houd het beddengoed effen wit of grijs en de kamer komt ’s avonds nog steeds tot rust.
