How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the soft sage and cream look too washed out on a white wall?
On a bright white wall the print stays gentle but still reads clearly thanks to the warm beige shadows and the darker tips of the cat's ears. If your wall is very stark, a warm off-white or chalky cream behind it will lift the painterly tones and make the whole piece feel more grounded.
Does this work in a room with strong colour, like a deep green or navy wall?
It can, but it shifts the mood. Against deep green or navy the cream and sage glow and the piece becomes a quiet focal point rather than a soft blend. Keep nearby furnishings calm — pale wood, linen, stoneware — so the contrast stays intentional rather than jarring.
Is the cat breed identifiable, or is this a general cat portrait?
It reads as a soft, cream-coated cat with darker ears and face markings — broadly point-coloured, in the spirit of a Birman, Ragdoll or Siamese. The painterly treatment keeps it general enough to feel like "any beloved cat" rather than a strict breed study, which is part of its appeal as a gift.
