How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Maakt de tekst het meer een poster dan een schilderij?

Op klein formaat wel, dan leest het als een reproductieposter. Groot geprint wordt de tekst deel van de rand en krijgt de figuur de hoofdrol. In een hal waar je er dicht langs loopt, draagt de tekst juist bij aan het historische gevoel, net als een oude theateraffiche. Als je wilt dat de kamer het vooral als kunst ervaart, kies dan de grootste hoogte die je muur toelaat en lijst hem in.

Hoe hoog moet ik gaan voor een trapbordes?

Meet van de lambrisering of plint tot aan het plafond en neem ongeveer twee derde daarvan. Op een gemiddeld bordes kom je dan uit op 90 cm tot 120 cm hoog. De figuur heeft die hoogte nodig om de muur vanaf de onderkant van de trap te dragen, en het lila vlak heeft ruimte nodig om als kleur te lezen en niet als vlek. Hang het midden op ooghoogte zoals je die hebt als je op de overloop staat, niet vanaf de vloer eronder.

Werkt het lila in een grijze hal?

Dat hangt af van het grijs. Warme grijstinten met een hint van roze of bruin passen mooi bij het vervaagde paars en houden de crème zacht. Koele blauwgrijze tinten laten de crème geler lijken en maken het lila modderig. Is je hal koelgrijs, verwarm de muur eromheen dan met een messing detail of een houten trapleuning en de balans komt terug.
