How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the soft pale palette show up on a white wall?

Yes, though gently. The cat reads as warm cream against the deeper green window opening, and the lavender below adds a clear band of soft purple. On a fully white wall it's a quiet, low-contrast piece — exactly the mood it's going for. If you'd like more definition, a pale oak or off-white wood frame helps lift it off the wall.

Is this suitable for a nursery or only a child's room?

It works in both. The subject is calm and unthreatening, the palette is soft, and there's nothing visually loud in the composition. Hang it at adult eye-level above a low piece of furniture so the child can see it from the cot, and it'll keep working as the room grows up with them.

Does it work as a single piece or only as part of a set?

It holds a wall on its own, especially in a smaller room or above a low bookcase. If you'd rather pair it, choose one quiet companion — a small lavender study, a soft botanical, or another gentle animal illustration — and keep the cat as the centre piece.
