How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the grey blue background look cold in a north-facing room?
It can read cooler in north light, but the deep red circle and mustard band keep it from feeling icy. If your room gets little sun, pair it with warm materials nearby — dark wood, a wool throw, rust or cream ceramics — and the grey settles into a soft, smoky tone rather than a flat cold one.
Is it too simple to work as the only artwork on a wall?
No. The shapes are large and clearly separated, so it holds a wall on its own better than a busier picture would. Give it plenty of empty space either side and hang it at standing eye level. If you want more, add one or two quiet line drawings rather than another bold piece.
Does the off-white border around the image show in the print?
Yes, the pale border is part of the original artwork and stays in the reproduction, which gives the grey ground a natural edge. If you frame it, that border reads a little like an inner mount, so a slim frame with a small mount or none at all keeps the proportions looking right.
