How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Blijven de kleuren goed in een slaapkamer op het noorden?

Ja, en beter dan de meeste. De lucht is hier al bleek en licht koel, dus vlak noordelijk licht wast hem niet weg zoals bij een felblauwe lucht. Het saliegroen en zand blijven goed zichtbaar. Wat verandert is de warmte, dus verf de muur liever warm gebroken wit of stoffig zand dan puur wit, dan behoudt de heuvel zijn warmte, zelfs op een grauwe ochtend.

Hoe breed moet hij boven een tweepersoonsbed of kingsize bed zijn?

Richt op ongeveer twee derde van de breedte van het hoofdbord, dus bij een UK king ongeveer 100 tot 120 cm breed. Door het lange formaat blijft hij laag, dus hij drukt niet tegen het plafond. Hang hem een handbreedte boven het hoofdbord, zodat de berglijn net boven de kussens uitkomt. Smaller dan een meter en de missiekerk wordt eerder een detail dan het hoofdonderwerp.

Past hij in een moderne flat of alleen in een rustieke kamer?

Beide, en de lijst bepaalt welke kant het opgaat. In bruin oogt hij als een oud westernschilderij en past hij mooi bij leer, klei en ruw pleisterwerk. In zwart worden de cactuslijnen strakker en werkt hij boven een eenvoudige bank in een wit appartement. Houd de rest van de muur in beide gevallen leeg, want het brede formaat vraagt ruimte aan beide kanten.
