Deze poster met een ongeïnteresseerde kat komt in maart het best tot zijn recht. Geef hem een smalle muur bij de voordeur en hang hem zo dat de kat op ooghoogte kijkt wanneer je je schoenen uittrekt. Roestrode strepen tegen een witgeschilderde muur ogen fris; op een poederroze muur voelen ze warm aan. Combineer met grenen vloerplanken, een kokosmat en een paar kapstokhaken, en laat de rest van de muur rustig. Hang hem lang en laag. Kinderen blijven ervoor staan en praten ertegen. Volwassenen zien de frons en voelen zich meteen beter over maandag. In juni bloeien de echte bloemen eindelijk mee, maar de kat blijft onverschillig – precies de bedoeling. Gedrukt op fine-art papier blijft de krijtachtige ondergrond zacht, en een eikenhouten lijst maakt het geheel af.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Hoe groot moet hij zijn voor een muur in de hal?

Ga groter dan logisch voelt. In een hal zie je hem van dichtbij en vanaf het uiteinde, dus hij moet hoog genoeg zijn om als figuur te lezen, niet als streep. Op een wandstrook van 60 cm vult een formaat van 40 bij 80 cm hem mooi zonder de deurpost te raken. Op een overloop met meer ruimte laat 50 bij 100 cm de strepen werken vanaf de trap beneden.

Werkt het saliegroen op een groene muur?

Dat hangt af van de diepte. Op een licht saliegroene of eau-de-nil muur verdwijnt de ondergrond bijna en lijken de kat en bloemen te zweven, wat bewust en best mooi oogt. Op een diepe bosgroene of flesgroene muur wordt het gedempte saliegroen grijs en valt het geheel plat. Witte, crèmekleurige en poederroze muren geven de scherpste rand en houden het roestrood helder.

Is dit niet te kinderachtig voor een volwassen ruimte?

De humor is droog in plaats van schattig, en juist daarom werkt hij ook in een hal die door volwassenen wordt gebruikt. De kleuren zijn gedempt, de tekening is vlak en grafisch, en de frons leest als een grap over katten in plaats van een cartoon voor kinderen. In een keuken of een toilet op de benedenverdieping tovert hij een glimlach op bij gasten. In een formele zitkamer zou hij niet op zijn plek voelen.
