How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Neemt dat sterke rood een kleine kamer over?

Op gemiddeld formaat werkt het als een warme blikvanger, niet als een kleurvlek. In een kleine woonkamer of studeerkamer houd je de muur eromheen rustig en laat je het rood het enige krachtige accent zijn. Is je kamer al in een diepe tint geschilderd, kies dan een maat kleiner zodat het werk in het geheel valt in plaats van ermee te concurreren.

Werkt het in een kamer met koelgrijze muren?

Dat kan, maar het heeft steun nodig. Het warme rood en bijna zwart steken tegen koel grijs af, tenzij je warmte in de buurt brengt: een bruine of donkerhouten lijst, een leren of cognackleurige stoel, een messing lamp of een houten plank eronder. Zonder dat is een warmere muurkleur de makkelijkere basis.

Is een vierkant formaat lastig boven meubels op te hangen?

Helemaal niet, maar de maat moet kloppen. Kies ongeveer twee derde van de breedte van het dressoir, de console of het bureau eronder, met een handbreedte vrije muur tussen meubel en lijst. Vierkanten centreren ook netjes op smallere muren, wat dit een goede keuze maakt tussen deuropeningen of in een schoorsteennis.
