How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the warm brown background look too dark on a pale wall?
No — the brown reads as soft and grounded rather than heavy, especially on chalky off-white, oat or warm clay walls. It actually gives a pale room something to settle against. If your wall is very cool blue-grey, the warm brown will feel slightly out of step, so a warmer wall finish suits it best.
Is this piece suitable for a child's bedroom or nursery?
It works well in both. The cat is painterly and friendly rather than cartoonish, so it grows with the room — calm enough for a nursery, characterful enough for an older child or a guest bedroom. Hang it at seated eye level above a low piece of furniture so small visitors can see the face clearly.
How big should I go on a narrow hallway wall?
Stick to medium. The portrait holds a narrow hallway easily on its own at medium scale, with the face roughly at standing eye level. Going larger can crowd a tight corridor and make the brown feel heavy. Leave a clear margin of wall on either side so the soft edges of the fur have room to breathe.
