How should I display butterfly prints so they look elegant, not childish?

The trick is framing and restraint. A single large framed butterfly print (we'd go 50x70cm or 70x100cm) in a black or natural oak frame instantly reads sophisticated, especially against a muted wall like warm white or sage green. Avoid clustering lots of small, brightly coloured butterfly prints together because that's where things tip into nursery territory.
