How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the red very bright in person, or more of a muted terracotta?

It's a proper bright red — warm and punchy, not a muted terracotta. On paper the red reads as vivid against the soft pink background, so plan for it to be the strongest colour on the wall. If you want a gentler, dustier animal print, this one probably isn't the right pick.

Will this still work as our child grows older?

Yes. The lion is graphic and hand-painted rather than tied to a specific character or age, so it moves comfortably from nursery to toddler room to primary-age bedroom. Swap the surrounding styling — cot to bed, soft toys to books — and the print keeps earning its wall.

Does the soft pink background limit the room colours we can use?

Not really. The background is a chalky, low-key pink that sits happily against cream, off-white, warm neutrals, pale wood and even soft sage or dusty blue walls. It's the red lion that leads the eye, so build the rest of the room around warm neutrals and let the print bring the colour.
