How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the dusty blue background work in a warm-toned room?

Yes. The blue is soft and slightly grey rather than bright, and it sits above a warm orange desert floor, so there's already warmth built in. It gets on well with terracotta, warm timber, rattan and clay-painted walls. In a very cool grey room it will read cooler, so add a warm lamp or timber nearby.

Is this too childish for a living room?

It's playful but not babyish. The flat blocks of colour, grainy texture and restrained palette read as folk illustration rather than cartoon. In a living room it works best above a sideboard or in a reading or music corner, paired with warm wood and woven texture. If your room is very formal, it'll feel like a deliberate bit of fun.

What size should I go for above a chest of drawers?

Aim for something roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture below. On a standard 90cm chest of drawers a medium portrait size lands well, hung with about 20-25cm of clear wall between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the piece. Go larger if the wall is wide and otherwise empty.
