How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the gold actually metallic, or printed?

The gold is printed as a warm yellow-gold ink, not a foil or metallic finish. It reads richly in lamplight and against dark walls, but it won't physically shine or reflect like real metal. If you want true shimmer, lean on a gold frame and brass fittings in the room around it.

Will this look too busy in a small room?

It's a dense, detailed composition, so in a small room give it a wall of its own and keep the surrounding surfaces calm — plain paint, one lamp, one piece of furniture below. It can absolutely work in a small hallway or study, as long as nothing else on that wall competes with it.

Does it work on a light or off-white wall?

Yes, though the mood changes. On a deep green, navy or charcoal wall it reads moody and glam. On a warm off-white the gold reads softer and the black geometry becomes the dominant element — cleaner, more graphic, less evening-drama. Both work; choose based on the feeling you want.
