Some bird prints match a room. This one resets its pecking order. The soft sage green background keeps things quiet, then the red and blue parrot and the gold peony outlines do the talking. Put it up and a flat wall suddenly has a centre. Eyes go to it first, and everything around it starts to look chosen rather than collected. Hang it on a chimney breast, between two windows, above a sideboard, or in a hallway where you pass it every day. Pair it with dark wood, cane, velvet or linen, brass handles and simple green or cream ceramics. Don't hang it near busy floral wallpaper or another strong bird or flower picture, and skip cool grey walls, which flatten the green. How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the red parrot too bright for a soft green room?

It reads as one clear focal point rather than a wash of colour. The sage green background takes up most of the picture, so the red and orange sit inside a calm field instead of spreading across the wall. In a room with off-white or muted green walls it looks deliberate. If your walls are already strong red or orange, it will compete.

Does it need a very tall wall?

No, but it wants height more than width. The bird sits high with the tail sweeping to the bottom corner, so the composition reads properly at around 40cm wide and up. A narrow chimney breast, the wall between two windows, or a spot above a sideboard all work. Avoid squeezing it into a low, wide gap where the tail gets cramped.

Will the gold detail actually show up from across the room?

The gold outlines on the peonies and stems are fine, so from a few metres away you mainly see the pale flower shapes and the green ground. Step closer and the line detail appears. That is why it rewards a spot you pass or sit near, like a hallway or a dining wall, rather than a far corner of a big open-plan room.
