How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Does the collie face the camera, or is it painted from behind?
It's painted from behind, with the dog mostly turned away. Only the tip of the nose catches the light on the right-hand side. It reads as a quiet, characterful pet portrait rather than a head-on pose, so it suits buyers who find direct pet portraits a bit intense.
Will the warm brown and cream feel too soft in a modern room?
It tends to do the opposite. Modern rooms with a lot of grey, chrome or sharp lines often benefit from a warm, painterly anchor like this. The off-white ground keeps it light, while the brown and near-black brushwork give enough contrast to hold its own without shouting.
Is this a rough collie or a shetland sheepdog?
The proportions and coat read as a rough collie — the long fringed mane, the sable-and-white markings and the tail shape all point that way. Sheltie owners often still enjoy it because the breeds share their look closely, but it isn't drawn as a smaller sheltie.
