How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the Edinburgh detail recognisable, or is it more of a general city scene?
It's clearly Edinburgh. You can pick out the castle on its ridge, a domed bank building, a tall clock tower, Gothic spires and the bridge across the valley, with Princes Street style buildings running along the front. It's painted loosely rather than architecturally, so it reads as a portrait of the city rather than a survey drawing.
Will it be too much colour for a small hallway?
Small walls often suit it best, because you view it close up and the detail pays off. Keep the wall itself plain, off-white or a soft green, and leave the space either side of it clear. One piece on its own in a narrow hallway looks deliberate; two or three busy pieces in the same run will feel crowded.
What size should I go for if I want the tiny figures to show?
Medium or larger. The street crowd, shop windows and blossom flowers are painted at a small scale, so at the smallest sizes they blur into texture. A medium size viewed from a metre or two keeps everything legible, and a large size lets it work as the main feature above a sofa or sideboard.
Does it work in a room with wooden furniture?
Yes. Mid-tone timber, cane and painted joinery all sit well with the pink, cream and deep green here.
