How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the text crisp enough to read from across the room?

Yes at small to medium sizes — the word 'depresso' is the largest element and reads clearly from a couple of metres away. The smaller italic line underneath is meant to be read up close, so hang it where people can step in to read it rather than only viewing from the sofa.

Will it look out of place in a colourful kitchen?

It can. The print relies on white space and black type, so it works best on plain or lightly textured walls. If your kitchen has patterned wallpaper, bright tile or a busy splashback, the joke has to compete and usually loses. A pale or painted wall above the counter is the safest spot.

Does it work as a pair with another print?

Yes — it pairs well with another small typography or line-art print in the same black-and-white palette, hung either side by side or stacked. Avoid pairing it with anything colourful or heavily illustrated, which pulls attention away from the wording and makes the layout feel uneven.
