How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?
Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the yellow background overwhelm a small kitchen?
The yellow is warm rather than acid, and it's broken up by the red band, blue floor and dark shadow. In a small kitchen it reads as a focal point rather than a wash of colour, especially if the surrounding walls are off-white or pale. Give it a clear patch of wall and it settles in quickly.
Does it work in a kitchen with open shelving and lots of pattern?
Honestly, it competes. The print is graphic and confident, and it does its best work on a relatively calm wall with at least 30cm of clear space around it. If your shelves are already busy with mugs, plants and tins, hang it on the opposite wall or above a sideboard in the dining area instead.
Is it better in portrait above a counter or could it work in a dining room?
Both work. Above a counter or coffee station it has the obvious link to subject. In a dining room above a low sideboard or console, it acts as a graphic anchor and brings the kitchen mood into the eating area. Keep it at eye level either way.
