How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the washed blue background look cold in a north-facing kitchen?
The blue is soft and warmed by the pearly cream shells and sandy edges, so it reads calm rather than cold. In a north-facing room, pair it with whitewashed oak, linen, and warm brushed nickel rather than chrome, and the piece will sit comfortably without feeling chilly.
Is the composition centred or do the shells pull to one side?
The shells are scattered rather than centred — there's a slight pull toward the lower right where the two largest oysters sit. Hang it slightly off-centre above a sideboard or between cabinets and the asymmetry becomes a feature rather than something to correct.
Does this work in a bathroom, or is the paper a concern?
It suits a bathroom with normal ventilation — the calm blue-and-cream palette is well matched to tile and pale stone. Keep it off walls that get direct splash from a shower or bath, and the framed print will be fine in a guest or family bathroom.
