How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the cool blues feel cold in a north-facing room?
The blues are concentrated in the river and sky — most of the print is warm cream and soft brown. In a north-facing room it reads calm rather than cold, especially alongside warm woods, linen or a soft lamp. If your walls are already chilly grey, pair it with a warmer floor or upholstery to balance.
Is the Japanese text on the print readable or decorative?
The red cartouche top-right and the artist's signature lower-left are part of the original woodblock composition. They read as graphic detail rather than something you need to translate, and they give the piece its authentic ukiyo-e character. The text is faithful to the original print, not added or altered.
Does this work in a room that isn't japandi or minimal?
Yes. The composition is busy enough to hold its own next to traditional or English-country furniture, and the cream ground stops it feeling stark. It sits surprisingly well above a dark wood sideboard, a painted console, or in a hallway with patterned runners — it isn't tied to one look.
