How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the black brushstrokes feel too heavy in a small room?
The black is balanced by the soft sage and off-white around it, so the piece reads as calm rather than dark. In a small room, give it space — a clear wall and a slim frame — and it lifts the room rather than weighing it down. Avoid hanging it next to another heavy or saturated piece.
Does this work better above a sofa or behind a bed?
Both work, but it leans towards the sofa. The vertical composition wants a bit of furniture below it to anchor against, and above a sofa it carries the full wall on its own. Above a bed, choose a low headboard so the brushstrokes aren't crowded by pillows.
What frame stops it looking flat?
A thin black wood frame with a generous off-white mount keeps the verticals crisp and gives the piece room to breathe. Slim oak also works in warmer rooms. Avoid gold, silver and wide ornate frames — they fight the loose, hand-painted feel of the brushstrokes.
