How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?
Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will this look washed-out against a white wall?
It reads as soft and atmospheric rather than washed-out. The warm cream sky has enough contrast against the grey water and brown boats to hold the wall. On bright white walls, an oak or warm brown frame helps it sit firmly. On warmer off-white plaster, it slots in even more naturally.
Is the harbour scene detailed or more abstract?
It sits between the two. You can clearly read the moored boats, the shoreline and the wider water, but the brushwork is loose and painterly rather than precise. Up close it reads as expressive marks; from across the room it resolves into a calm coastal landscape.
Does it work in a room without a sea or coastal theme?
Yes. Because the palette is warm neutrals rather than bright blues, it behaves like a soft landscape in any quiet room. It suits organic modern, Japandi and pared-back traditional interiors as easily as a coastal cottage, without making the room feel themed.
