How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Does the boat sit centre or to one side of the composition?
The wooden boat sits in the lower right of the image, in the foreground water. The rest of the print is open sky and reflective shallow water, so the eye reads right-leaning. If you're hanging a pair, mirror that weight on the other side so the wall feels balanced.
Will the muted palette get lost on a soft white wall?
It's a low-contrast piece, so on a pure bright white wall the edges can soften more than you'd expect. It sits more confidently on a chalky off-white, warm cream or soft grey wall. If your walls are very bright, a pale oak frame with a generous off-white mount gives it a clean edge to read against.
Is this better above a bed or in a hallway?
Both work. Above a bed it acts as a calm anchor and rewards the close-up viewing distance, since the brushwork is the point. In a hallway it slows the walk through. It's less suited to a big open living room wall on its own — at a long viewing distance the soft palette can read as flat.
