How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the poster include the full exhibition typography around the cat?

Yes. The print includes the 'William Morris' header at the top and the 'Cotton Prints Exhibition — South Kensington' text and dates below the floral panel, all in vintage typography. The typography is part of the artwork's character and isn't removed from the print.

Is the background actually black, or dark green?

It reads as a deep teal-green, not pure black. The leaves and dark areas behind the florals are a dark mossy green with subtle blue undertones, which is what lets the actual black cat stand out so clearly against the pattern.

Will the busy pattern feel overwhelming in a small room?

Not at medium size and with quiet walls around it. The cat gives the eye a clear place to land, which calms the pattern down. Keep nearby cushions and curtains in solid colours, and the print sits well even in a small living room or bedroom.
