How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

How big does the crane look on the wall?

The composition is tall and narrow, with the crane filling most of the height. At larger sizes it reads as a clear feature piece from across the room; at smaller sizes the fine detail in the feathers and foliage rewards a closer look, so it sits better in tighter spots like alcoves or beside a doorway.

Will it work in a lighter, more modern room?

Yes, with the right backdrop. The off-white crane and soft sand keep it from feeling heavy, so on a pale plaster or chalky off-white wall it adds vintage character without darkening the room. It plays best with at least one warm wood or leather element nearby to anchor the deep blue sky.

Does the small alligator at the bottom make it unsuitable for a dining room?

Most people read it as a classic natural history scene rather than anything graphic — Audubon often showed birds with their prey. At normal viewing distance the alligator reads as a small detail in the foreground, and the overall feel is calm and old-world, which suits traditional dining rooms well.
