How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the scribbles still look like a dog from across the room?
Yes. From two metres or more the dense loops read as a solid shape, so you see the ears, muzzle and thick coat straight away. Up close it breaks back into individual lines. That shift is part of the appeal, but it does mean very small sizes lose the effect — medium and up is safer.

Is it too busy for a room I want to feel calm?
It sits in the middle. The lines are dense, but there is a lot of empty white around the dog and no colour at all, so it stays quieter than a patterned or brightly coloured piece. Give it a plain wall and clear space on either side and it reads as graphic rather than noisy.

Does it need to be a Samoyed owner's house to make sense?
No. It works as a black-and-white drawing first and a breed piece second, so it suits any home that wants a bit of humour on a neutral wall. That said, the Samoyed's spiky head fur and curled tail are clear enough that owners of the breed will spot it instantly.
