How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does it still look like a cat from across the room?
Yes. The tangle reads as a clear sitting cat from about two metres back, with the ears, chest and tail holding the shape. Up close it breaks into loose scribbles, which is part of the appeal. Give it a plain wall and a medium size and the shape stays obvious from anywhere in the room.

Will it work if my room has no black in it?
It will, though a little black helps. Even a small amount elsewhere — a lamp base, table legs, a dark ceramic — ties the ink lines into the room. If your space is entirely pale wood and cream, keep the piece small to medium so it reads as an accent rather than a hard block of contrast.

Can I hang it as a pair with another animal drawing?
Yes, and it works well that way. Pair it with a second loose-line animal in the same black-and-white treatment, matched in size, and hang them 8 to 10cm apart at eye level. Keep both on the same plain wall colour so the ink lines are the only thing competing for attention.
