Om detta konstverk

The spare room bed gets a duvet and nothing else. That long strip of wall above the headboard sits empty for years because nothing is the right shape for it. This is. At 100cm across it fills the width of a double bed and stops short of the ceiling, so the room stops looking unfinished. Black tiles against a chalky white wall give a guest room some backbone, and the pink of the ears keeps it friendly. White cotton bedding, one plain lamp, nothing patterned nearby. Hang it low, a hand's width above the headboard, so the cat looks like it has settled in for the night. Guests will ask where you found it before they ask where the towels are. On fine-art paper the white tiles keep their sharp edges, and a black frame finishes the grout line.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the black background make a small bedroom feel dark?

Less than you would expect. The black sits inside the picture, and the white tiles bounce light back, so the effect is closer to a bold rug than a dark wall. Keep the wall behind it white or pale grey and the room stays light. Where it does turn heavy is on a dark painted wall, so save it for a light one.

How wide should I go above a double bed?

Aim for around 100cm across, which lines up with the middle two thirds of a standard double headboard. Go smaller and the cat reads as a strip rather than a picture, and the bed looks like it is wearing a badge. Go to 120cm on a king. Hang it a hand's width above the headboard so the two read as one block.

Is the pink noticeable in the room, or does it get lost?

It is a small note, not a theme. From across the room you see black and white first, and the pink registers second, at the ears and in the pebbles along the bottom. That makes it easy to echo with one cushion or a lamp base. Add more pink than that and the picture starts to look like part of a scheme rather than the anchor of one.
