Hang it over the sofa. A low seat wants something long above it, and this stretches across the back without climbing the wall. The rust brown in the reeds picks up tan leather or a camel wool throw, and the grey blue of the water cools a room that has drifted too beige. Leave a hand's width between the bottom edge and the cushions. Nothing else on that wall. In a sitting room with a wooden floor and off-white walls it settles the whole seating end, and the distant fields give a low ceiling somewhere to look out to. Go at least two thirds the width of the sofa. Any narrower and it floats. On canvas the reeds hold their brushwork and the piece hangs without glass.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?
If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.
We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Will the colours work against grey walls?
Yes, and better than most. The grey blue in the water sits close to a mid grey wall, so the picture reads as part of the room rather than a block on it. The rust brown of the reeds then does the warming. Keep the wall a warm grey rather than a blue one, and add tan or camel in the seating so the brown has something to talk to.
How wide should I go above a three-seat sofa?
Aim for two thirds of the sofa width, which for a standard three-seater means around 120 to 140cm across. Below 100cm the reeds and trees shrink into detail and the calm horizon effect goes. Hang it low, about 20cm above the back cushions, so the water line sits roughly at seated eye level when you look up from a chair opposite.
Does it work above a bed rather than a sofa?
It does, and the width is the reason. A wide scene above a headboard spreads the eye sideways and lowers the visual centre of the room, which is what a bedroom wants at night. Match it to the headboard width, keep bedding in oatmeal or white, and skip any blue cushions so the water in the picture stays the coolest thing on that wall.
