Om detta konstverk

Most hallways have no season. This one gives yours a cold morning in the woods, the kind where snow squeaks underfoot and nobody has spoken yet. Dark green does the hush. The linen-coloured ground keeps the wall from going gloomy, so the stillness reads as fresh air rather than dusk. Hang it on the narrow wall at the turn of the stairs, where a tall shape fills the gap that a small picture never manages. Around it keep things plain. Painted tongue and groove, a wool runner in oat or grey, a coat hook in black iron. Nothing green anywhere near it, so the trees keep the colour to themselves. In December it looks like it planned the whole month. Come July it is the coolest thing in the house. On fine-art paper the woven ground stays crisp enough to read from the bottom step.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the dark green read as black from the other end of a hallway?

From a few metres away the trees do darken, and on a north-facing landing they sit close to charcoal. That is part of the appeal, since the linen-coloured ground stays light and the trunks stand out cleanly. If you want the green to hold, keep a wall light or window within reach of it and avoid a dark wall colour behind it.

Does it look like a Christmas decoration once January arrives?

No, because there is no red, no glitter and no ornament in it. The snow band and the spruces read as a plain winter woodland, closer to a Nordic landscape than a card. Most people who buy it for December find it stays up all year, and in summer the cool white and dark green make a hallway feel a few degrees cooler.

How narrow a wall can it go on?

At the large size it is roughly 50cm wide, so a wall of 60 to 70cm carries it with a small margin either side. That makes it one of the few pictures that fits a stair return or the strip between a door frame and a corner. On anything wider than about 120cm it starts to look lonely, so pair it or move it.
