Om detta konstverk

Most rooms have plenty of taste and nothing decisive. The sofa is grey, the walls are off-white, the rug is a safe oat, and the whole thing waits for someone to commit. This does the committing. One mustard yellow mark on a pale ground, hung square above the sofa, and the grey suddenly looks chosen rather than defaulted to. Keep it big. At 80cm the strokes read as paint, with ridges and drag, and the wall gets a bit of hand in it that flat colour never gives. Under it, a linen sofa in stone or charcoal, a concrete or pale plaster wall behind, and nothing else yellow in sight. Works in a hallway too, where a square this bold turns a pass-through into a pause. Premium fine-art paper holds every ridge of the paint in crisp detail.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the mustard yellow clash with a warm-toned room?

It depends on what else is warm. Against cream walls, oak floors and tan leather the yellow settles in as the brightest of a family. Against terracotta, rust or orange it competes, because those colours want the same job. If your room already has a strong warm accent, this is best kept for a cooler space with grey, white or black as the base.

What size should I buy for above a sofa?

Aim for roughly two thirds of the sofa width in total. For a standard three-seater around 200cm, a single square at 90 to 100cm sits well, centred with its bottom edge about 20cm above the back cushions. Smaller than 70cm and the strokes stop reading as paint, and the piece looks like a swatch rather than the point of the wall.

Does it work on a coloured wall rather than white?

Yes, within limits. A pale grey wall is the best match, because the ground colour almost disappears and the yellow seems to sit straight on the plaster. Charcoal or navy works too and makes the pale ground read as a deliberate panel. Avoid sage, olive or any yellow-leaning wall, where the mustard loses its edge and the whole thing goes muddy.
